In July 2011, the NSW Government established an independent panel to undertake a review of the planning system in NSW. The aim of the review is to create a new planning system in consultation with stakeholders and the community that meets today’s needs and priorities.
The Minister for Planning and Infrastructure, the Hon Brad Hazzard, appointed joint chairs to carry out the review:
- Tim Moore, a former NSW Minister for the Environment, and
- Ron Dyer, a former NSW Minister for Public Works and Services.
The joint chairs are receiving logistical support from the Department of Planning and Infrastructure at 23-33 Bridge St, Sydney.
